Certain piping that is shown on Sheet 2B-P1.201 appears to be installed in conflict with IBC Section 1023.5 that regulates penetrations in interior exit stairways and where penetrations are allowed per exception: Membrane penetrations shall be permitted on the outside of the interior exit stairway and ramp. Such penetrations shall be protected in accordance with Section 714.4.2. Please resubmit plans with tested penetration fire assemblies with rating to comply with IBC Section 1023.1 (fire-resistance rating of not less than 2 hours where connecting four stories or more and not less than 1 hour where connecting less than four stories).
