Planning Department

Prior to issuance of a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (or Certificate of Occupancy), the Department of Planning and Community Development will inspect the site to ensure the project has been built in accordance with the approved plans and the Community Development Code. Building Department

All new work that has to be performed as a result of our permitting process in terms of new products, materials, appliances, equipment, and labor to install, will be added to the above square footage cost of work done previously without permits in the past, we have added a Condition to this permit that we will not provide a Certificate of Occupancy until the owner has turned in all contracts associated with hiring professional to do the work, and invoices or receipts showing all costs of materials and products purchased. If an owner is doing their own work, then labor is calculated by taking all invoices and receipts for materials and products purchased and multiplied by two to calculate labor. The owner will then be responsible to pay these fees that are accessed to the permit at the end of the project after the contractors for services, receipts, and invoices are reviewed by the Building Department prior to Certificate of Occupancy being issued. Building Department

. All Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or Gas Permits will have an expiration date of 1-year set on these permits once they are issued, all work must be completed within one year due to the Life Safety issues created as a result of performing work without a permit. Building Department

Prior to permit issuance, applicant/owner must schedule a pre-inspection walk-through with the Building Official, to review and determine the amount of work that must be done on the project to meet the approved plans, to review what is there in terms of existing construction that is approved in it's existing condition, and what work must be done that is not approved or does not meet the approved plans at the start of the project. Prior to issuance of a full Certificate of Occupancy, the Department of Planning and Community Development will inspect the site to ensure the project has been built in accordance with the approved plans and the Community Development Code. Specifically this will include inspection of landscape plantings and interior parking lot landscape forms. GIS

Prior to TCO being approved, the City of Steamboat Springs GIS Department will need to assign final Building Addressing and Unit Numbers and Letters to all of 1900 and 1920 Bridge Lane.

Building Department

New sidewalk around the rear of the building must be completed prior to issuance of TCO, this includes proper signage being installed in the front of the building directing the Public to the main entry door of each unit around the back of the building. [Todd Carr @ 12/24/2024 2:53 PM]
