Replacement

This a brief narrative requesting a building permit, for construction work to occur at the mentioned building during 2024. The projected work will occur from 4/25/2024 to 11/17/2024. The work to be performed is an extensive piping replacement. The following contractors will be working on the project Haselden Construction, Steamboat Springs, CO. Falcon Plumbing and Heating, Grand Junction, CO. The following work will be performed during this period: Plumbing • Make safe existing plumbing piping for removal by others. • Replace existing galvanized domestic cold, hot and recirc mains with schedule 10 stainless steel pipe and stainless steel fittings. • New piping to be installed on existing points of connect in the mechanical room, parking garage and on levels two and five. • Reconnect new pipe to the existing points of connections in the ceiling of the parking garage, commercial spaces, kitchen and laundry. • Piping take offs less than 2” from the new stainless steel pipe to be type L copper with prepress fittings and new ball valves. Copper piping to be tied to the existing copper piping in the corridors of level two and five • Remove existing balance valves on he domestic recirc system and replace with new circuit solvers. Mechanical Rooms • Remove existing water softener system and install new Thermostatic mixing valves. • Install new backflow preventer on the domestic cold main where it enters the building. Provide and install 6 pumps. • Remove existing galvanized pipe and replace with schedule 10 stainless steel and mechanical couplings. Piping insulation • Re-insulate all new piping with fiberglass insulation and pie shields.
