The following quote is for replacement boilers for The Lodge at Steamboat. This quote is based on the sizing needed for domestic hot water needs for the current load in the building. Additionally, the need for replacement spa boilers has been addressed. The current system also serves a 125,000 btu load for snowmelt. In designing this replacement, I have used 2 ^ 500,000 btu Lochinvar commercial water heaters. These are a condensing (high efficiency) design for the domestic hot water needs. Also, 1 - 400,000 btu Lochinvar Knight boiler is to be used to serve, both spa heating needs and the snow melt need. This will be done through individual heat exchangers. This also disconnects the boiler from the spa water and its chemicals, eliminating the failure of the boiler heat exchangers that occur when heating directly. The snow melt heat exchanger allows to have a higher concentration of glycol for the actual load and a lower concentration for the boiler. The bid includes installation of the required vent piping through the existing vent. While the price for the boiler/water heater has increased by 30% we were able to find some cost saving on equipment rental. Being as Masterwork purchased much of the installation materials last year, we were able to minimize the cost increase for the project. TOTAL- 2-Lochinvar Shield water heaters, 1-Lochinvar boiler, piping, venting, heat exchangers, pumps and installation materials and labor - $68,800.001-Legiomix mixing valve and labor -$2,690.00 Quote includes removal and disposal of old equipment.
